Random Passage Site

A world class replica of a typical 19th century fishing station.

The site, was created for the TV mini-series "Random Passage". It contains houses, a church, school, gardens, salt flakes and traditional animals such as sheep. On Sunday mornings during July and August, Newfoundland musicians and storytellers will entertain visitors to the site.

Driving Directions

From Clarenville;

Follow Route 230 to the Trinity Junction and turn right onto Route 239. Proceed straight ahead for a distance of 17 kilometres on Route 239 towards Bonaventure.

From Bonavista;

Follow Route 230 to the Trinity Junction and turn right onto Route 239. Proceed straight ahead for a distance of 17 kilometres on Route 239 towards Bonaventure.

Near the end of Route 239 continue straight ahead towards New Bonaventure. As you descend into New Bonaventure take the right fork up the hill towards the Church. Parking for the Film Set is at the Church. Proceed 500 metres on foot to the admission booth.
